Vinson Filyaw Death – cause of death!

Vinson Filyaw Death: A South Carolina man whose 2006 seizing, detainment and assault of then 14-year-old Elizabeth Shoaf in an underground dugout for 10 days drove him to be condemned to 421 years in jail has passed on there.

Law implementation authorities affirm that Vinson Filyaw, 51, passed on in jail at South Carolina’s McCormick Correctional Institute on Monday, reports Columbia TV station WLTX. Elizabeth’s kidnapping, control of her captor and her departure roused the 2018 Lifetime station film Girl in the Bunker.

Elizabeth was on her path home from school in Lugoff, South Carolina, on Sept. 6, 2006, when the man wearing battle fatigues cuffed her, strolled her into the forested areas, and afterward held her hostage in the hand-burrowed underground dugout for 10 days, during which he over and again assaulted her.

As a feature of her technique to get away, Elizabeth made plans to win his trust, persuading Filyaw to share his mobile phone so she could mess around on it. At that point, when he dozed, she desperately messaged loved ones, Elizabeth disclosed to NBC’s Today show in 2008.

That revitalized police who at first had thought of her as a runaway, and they had the option to focus in on Filyaw, who was then a jobless 36-year-old development specialist and a suspect in an inconsequential rape.
