Paul westphal cause of death: Previous Seattle Supersonics mentor and Hall of Fame ball player Paul “Westy” Westphal has passed on. The Phoenix Suns affirmed his demise Saturday. He was 70 years of age.

No reason for death was given, in spite of the fact that he had been determined to have cerebrum disease last August.

A five-time All-Star watch, Westphal played in the NBA from 1972-84.

He played one season for the Sonics from 1980-1981 and he burned through three seasons as the lead trainer of the group from 1998-2000. Westphal was enlisted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in September 2019.

He is made due by his better half Cindy, his child Michael and his little girl Victoria.
