Mark Reiland Obituary – Wrestling titan Mark Reiland, a double cross-state champion at Eagle Grove High School and a University of Iowa public champion, died on Wednesday. Reiland was a symbol on and off the mat in both the Messenger region and then some.

As a prep, he caught state gold for the Eagles in 1986 and 1987 at 145 and 155 pounds, individually. Reiland, a four-time state place winner for Eagle Grove, went 69-1 in his last two secondary educational seasons. He additionally acquired Junior Freestyle and Greco Roman public titles in 1987.

Reiland’s legend developed under lead trainer Dan Gable in Iowa City.
