Kevin Lally Obituary: Kevin J. Lally passed on Friday, June 25, at his Westport home. He was 53. Brought into the world on Dec. 7, 1956, he was an occupant of Westport for a very long time. He moved on from Skidmore College in 1979 and was a 1974 alumni of Staples High School in Westport.

He worked for Brooks Community Newspapers for over 35 years. With his dad, Harry Lally, and B.V. Creeks, Kevin was instrumental in incorporating Brooks Community Newspapers into a fruitful organization that distributed six week by week papers and a few month to month papers and magazines.

He was past leader of the Darien Chamber of Commerce and past director of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and the Westport Chamber of Commerce.

He was chief emeritus of Elderhouse; previous individual from the sheets of heads of the Fairfield County Community Foundation, the Mid-Fairfield County Child Guidance Center and the Westport Country Playhouse; past leader of the New England Press Association; and ex-officio individual from the Westport-Weston United Way. He additionally was administrator of Connecticut confirmations for Skidmore College.
