John Alati Obituary: John November 14, 1926 – May 30, 2008 Peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital, with his family close by, on May 30, 2008, in his 82nd year, after a gallant and long fight with Parkinson’s infection and a short however lively battle with disease. Darling spouse for a very long time of Lucille (nee Grimaldi). Much cherished dad of Marie (Dan Haraysmchuk), Linda (Mario Savo) and John (Aida Cabecinha). Worshiped granddad of Lindsay, Craig, Michael, Christopher, Sarah and Joshua.

His delicate ways and kind funny bone will be unfortunately missed by his relative Luigina Grimaldi, his sibling Len (Nicla) and his sisters Carol Adams (Mickey, expired), Madeline DiPaola (Peter), Rose Arrigo (Joe) and Teresa Battaglia, just as his sisters-in-law and brothers by marriage Jean Bartolini, Peter Grimaldi (Helene), Matthew Grimaldi (Lynne), Anthony Grimaldi (Barbara) and Mary Lepore (Donato).

Cherishing uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He will be remembered fondly by the entirety of his family, family members and numerous companions. Companions may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. also, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Burial service Mass will be praised at All Saints Catholic Church (1415 Royal York Road), on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 10 a.m. Incineration with private family interment to follow sometime in the future.
