Jamie Davis Death: Jamie Davis, 30, of Christchurch, Dorset, was found hanged in his van in Totton, Hampshire, on 11 January. His widow Alicia said he looked for help for PTSD after his child inquired as to why he was shouting in the night however missed a few clinical arrangements. Mr Davis endured shrapnel wounds and saw the passings of associates in Iraq and Afghanistan, the investigation heard.

Mrs Davis, from Bournemouth, said he hence experienced “bad dreams night and day” and was embarrassed about his condition.

“He was shouting in the night… punching dividers when he was discussing it,” she told the meeting.

“He was filled with blame… Perhaps the best mate got executed and he said that ought to have been him.”

Mrs Davis said her better half neglected to go to clinical arrangements for PTSD in 2018 halfway in light of the fact that he was not permitted time off work and couldn’t bear to lose pay.

He moved out of the family home in July 2019 in light of the fact that he “couldn’t intellectually hold it together” before their two children, she said.

“The young men are his life… They were seeing that and it was sad,” she included.
