Jamie was brought into the world in Atlanta, Georgia on December 20, 1983 to Stephen Whatcott and Patti Whatcott. She moved on from Flower Mound High School close to Dallas in 2002. During secondary school, Jamie built up an affection for the trumpet, which would be a long lasting enthusiasm. She at that point went to BYU-Idaho, graduating with a degree in Music Education in 2006.
