Hazel Flesner Obituary – Death: Fredrick “Fred” Joseph Anderson, 89, of Quincy, Ill., died calmly on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at his home, encircled by his caring spouse of 68 years and family.

Fred was conceived Oct. 3, 1931, in Fort Madison, to Joseph T. what’s more, Elvira M. (Johnson) Anderson. He wedded Florence Andrews on Dec. 26, 1952, at First Baptist Church in Fort Madison.

Fred was an enormous avid supporter. In secondary school he played football, baseball, and ran track, yet he was particularly gifted at b-ball where he was a first group All-Little 6 b-ball player for the Fort Madison Bloodhounds. For the duration of his life he delighted in golf, bowling, and furthermore playing association slow-pitch softball and sand volleyball at his colder time of year home in Green Valley, Arizona. His #1 games group was surely the St. Louis Cardinals, so he was extremely grateful to have been in participation at their World Series win in 2006 and the All-Star game in 2009 at Busch Stadium.
