At about 2:42 p.m. Monday, Hawai’i Island Police reacted to a report of two men requiring help in the wake of tumbling from a precipice in lower Puna.
Police say a gathering of companions were riding soil bicycles in a territory known as “Sand Hill.” 20-year-old Duane Correa went over the precipice on his earth bicycle and passed on after falling around 30-feet.
The casualty’s more youthful sibling, 18-year-old Delton Correa, endeavored to help and fell. He supporting non-perilous wounds.
The Hawai’i Fire Department reacted on a helicopter and removed the two casualties.
20-year-old Duane Correa was taken to Hilo Medical Center where he was articulated dead. A dissection has been requested to decide the specific reason for death.
18-year-old Delton Correa was carried to the Hilo Medical Center for additional therapy and has been recorded in agreeable condition.
The examinations have been have named a Coroner’s Inquest and Public Accident, and are continuous.
