Tyler Black Navy Seal Death: Two fighters killed in an Army Black Hawk helicopter crash on San Clemente Island late Thursday were recognized Saturday. Staff Sgt. Vincent Marketta, 33, of Brick, N.J., and Sgt. Tyler Shelton, 22, of San Bernardino, were both Black Hawk helicopter repairers doled out to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) settled at Fort Campbell, Ky.

“The loss of Staff Sgt. Marketta and Sgt. Shelton has left a scar in this Regiment that will never totally mend,” Col. Andrew Graham, officer of the 160th regiment, said in an announcement. “Our need currently is to guarantee the Families of our fallen champions get our total help as we work through this misfortune together.”

The Army didn’t deliver any data about the accident. Five warriors were on the airplane when it went down Thursday, a Defense Department official with information on the episode told the San Diego Union-Tribune Friday. Three warriors were harmed.

Marketta enrolled in 2011 and sent to Afghanistan and on numerous occasions to Iraq, the Army said. His honors incorporate the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with “V” for fearlessness.

Shelton enrolled in 2016 and sent to Afghanistan, and his honors incorporate the Army Good Conduct Medal and Afghanistan Campaign Medal.

The two fighters will get the Meritorious Service Medal after death, the Army said.

San Clemente Island is overseen by the Navy and utilized for preparing. It has a landing strip, extraordinary tasks preparing zone and a besieging range.

Eight Marines and one mariner kicked the bucket toward the end of last month when their Marine Assault Amphibious Vehicle sank off the shoreline of the island during preparing.
