Sam Griffo Obituary – Samuel “Sam” Paul Griffo, 39, of Camillus, died Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at home, encircled by his caring family. Brought up in Camillus, he lived in Boston prior to moving back to Camillus in 2016. An alum of West Genesee High School, Sam procured his four-year certification from Ithaca College. He won the 1998 Lacrosse National Championship with West Genesee High School and the 2002 Division Lacrosse Championship with Ithaca College. Sam delighted in doing many “progress” and investing energy with loved ones, continually putting them first.

Enduring are his better half, Heather; guardians, Richard and Sherry of Camillus; kin, Scott (Pam) of Baldwinsville, Alan (Margaret) of Camillus, Cara Griffo of Camillus, Alicia (Jon) Abdo of Camillus, and Richard “Punkiey” (Mandi) of Camillus; nephews, Michael Lynk, Nathan, and Kyle Abdo; nieces, Morgan Lynk, Jenna, and Catherine Griffo; and cherished canine, Halo.

Family members and companions might call Monday, September 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Branch Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A memorial service Mass will be observed Tuesday, September 3 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Sam will be let go in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
