Marcus nelson obituary : Previous Waco Independent School District Superintendent, Dr. Marcus Nelson, has kicked the bucket because of ongoing unexpected issues, as per Laredo Independent School District School Board President Hector J. Garcia. Nelson was the administrator for Laredo ISD from 2009 until 2017 preceding his residency at Waco ISD.

Laredo City Representative Alberto Torres likewise affirmed Nelson’s passing.

“During his residency at LISD, we dealt with various tasks and projects to assist what turned into ‘his local area’ – Laredo. He will be genuinely missed; our petitions are with his loved ones,” Torres said.

Nelson left Waco ISD on March 21, 2019, 15 days after he was captured following a traffic stop in Robertson County and accused of wrongdoing maryjane ownership.

The City of Marlin recruited Dr. Nelson as a specialist in January of 2020.
