Kathy Flores Death – Kathy Flores has passed on at 66 years old after a fight with sickness. A long-term Head Coach of the USA Women’s Eagles, she had been Head Coach of Brown University for the beyond eight years.
A cultivated player prior to going to instructing, Flores captained the USA Senior Women’s side when they played their first worldwide test against Canada in 1987. She was the beginning No8 in the group that won the 1991 World Cup in Wales and would forge ahead as a test standard through the 1994 World Cup, in the long run resigning as a player in 1998.
Flores assumed responsibility for the Eagles as Head Coach in 2003, and would lead the group to fifth spot wraps up in at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups. She was named IRB Women’s Personality of the Year in 2003, and in 2016 was accepted into the US Rugby Hall of Fame.
