John Challis Boycie Death – Obituary: Sue Holderness, who played Boycie’s significant other, said in an assertion: “Marlene without Boycie – it’s incomprehensible. John Challis was my accomplice on screen and stage for quite some time and my cherished companion. R.I.P. dear John. I will miss you consistently.”

John Challis, who played Boycie in Only Fools And Horses, has passed on at 79 years old.

His family said in an explanation that he passed on “calmly in his rest, after a long fight with malignancy”. The entertainer, who was brought into the world in Bristol in 1942, had a broad TV profession yet was most popular for playing corrupt recycled vehicle seller Terrance Aubrey “Boycie” Boyce in the long-running darling BBC sitcom.

“It is with crushing sadness that we bring you such pitiful news,” the family proclamation read.

“Our dear companion and yours, John Challis, has kicked the bucket calmly in his rest, after a long fight with malignant growth.

“He will consistently be adored for being ‘Boycie’ and leaves an incredible tradition of work that will keep on bringing delight and grins for a long time to come.

“Kindly regard the protection of John’s loved ones at this troublesome time, and be guaranteed that in the future there will be an event to observe John’s life – when everybody will be free to go along.”
