Dusty Hill Obituary Houston TX: Incredible Texas artist, artist, and lyricist of the world-renowned bassist at ZZ Top, Joe Michael Hill, most popular as Dusty Hill, has kicked the bucket. Dusty Hill kicked the bucket at his home in Houston, Texas Wednesday. He kicked the bucket at age of 72. Slope’s reason for death has not been affirmed.

He was conceived 1949 in Dallas. Slope went to Woodrow Wilson High School, where he grew up. Slope’s subsequently moved to Houston, where he joined ZZ Top in 1970.
