The girl of Peter Joseph and Dorothy Shields, and the spouse of the late John B. Drenning. She is made due by her siblings, Peter Shields (Grace) and Hugh Shields (Christine); girl, Elizabeth (Neil Levi); child John (Lucie Bernheim); grandson, John Chalfant Drenning; cousin, Elizabeth Whiteley (Robert Spann); and numerous nieces, nephews, extraordinary nieces, and incredible nephews. Brought into the world in Erie, PA, Ms. Drenning moved on from St. Anne’s School in Charlottesville, VA, and accepted her four-year certification in English Literature from Wells College in Aurora, NY. Ms. Drenning started work in statistical surveying at McGraw-Hill distributing house in New York City.
She wedded John Drenning in 1965, and in 1967 they moved to Buffalo, where they brought up their two kids. Ms. Drenning got back to work in HR, having some expertise in benefits the executives. She was a VP at Smith Metal Arts, a producer of very good quality office frill, and was later Employee Benefits Manager for the Buffalo Board of Education. She started her post-graduate instruction while working, taking MBA courses and strength certificate courses in worker benefits. Ms. Drenning will be associated with her eager charitable effort for Buffalo, she embraced home. She was a fellow benefactor of Buffalo’s Green Fund, which at the hour of her retirement from its board had planted more than 20,000 trees in the city.
