Zachary Root Obituary: Loved ones of a Peterborough, Ont. understudy who kicked the bucket of COVID-19 say he was industrious in shielding himself from the sickness and thought often about the security of others.

Zachary Root, 31, went to the bookkeeping program at Fleming College and lived in Severn Court Student Residence, a secretly run office with around 200 inhabitants. His passing is associated with a flare-up of 59 cases at the office, all of which evaluated positive for a variation of concern.

The school said that the episode gives off an impression of being connected to “illicit” parties at the home nearby Feb. 20. Root didn’t go to these gatherings. He kicked the bucket on March 15.

“We recognize that the partygoers had no noxious plan toward my sibling,” said Root’s sibling, Brandon, in an email to CTV News Toronto.

“There were understudies reliably thumping on his entryway for the duration of the late evening attempting to get him to come and participate yet he stayed inside with the entryway bolted
