Warren Storm Obituary – Death: Cause of death!

Warren Storm Obituary – Death: Warren Storm, known as the “Guardian of Swamp Pop,” has kicked the bucket at 84 years old. The Abbeville drummer and singer who spearheaded the marsh pop type had been hospitalized since mid-August for treatment of the Covid, as indicated by different web-based media posts from loved ones. He passed on Tuesday evening.

“There’s not a piece of the world that has not known about or has been affected by Warren in some sort of way, musically or actually,” said Lafayette artist musician Yvette Landry. “He carried Louisiana music to the world.”

Landry, who believed Storm to be family, composed a 2019 book on the bog pop artist called “Surprising the World.”

She said accolades have poured in from around the world as information on Storm’s passing has spread. John Fogerty, lead guitarist and vocalist musician for Creedence Clearwater Revival, shared his sympathies in an instant message to Landry on Wednesday morning.

“Warren was an exceptionally simple soul,” Landry said. “Also, Warren took a gander at the world through the eyes of a kid. He resembled a major child. He jumped at the chance to sing. He got a kick out of the chance to play music. He wanted to converse with individuals. He wanted to see individuals grin. He wanted to satisfy individuals. He wanted to be content. He was exceptionally simple in that manner.”

Tempest, who was accepted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2010, was essential for an age of Cajun performers who were enlivened by rock ‘n’ roll.
