Scratch Challies, an understudy at Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky, was playing a game outside with his fiancee, his sister and different understudies when he fell and blacked out.

“Understudies, paramedics, and specialists struggled fearlessly, yet couldn’t spare him,” Tim Challies composed. “He’s with the Lord he cherished, the Lord he ached to serve. We have no responses to the what or why questions.”

Boyce is an undergrad school that is essential for Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In a letter to understudies, Southern President Al Mohler said that the whole network was lamenting Challies.

Mohler declared on Twitter that all nearby classes at Boyce were dropped Wednesday. The school likewise held a period of petition on the theological college yard on Wednesday morning.

“Our hearts and supplications are with Nick Challies’ caring guardians, Tim and Aileen, his sweet sisters Abigail and Michaela, and his gave life partner, Anna Kathryn Conley,” he composed on Twitter.

In his letter, Mohler said Southern would hold the Challies family and Conley in their souls.

“In the riddle of God’s boundless graciousness, siblings and sisters in Christ realize that our sincere petitions and anguished compassion truly do make a difference in this season of distress,” he composed. “They matter to us since we matter to God.”

Scratch Challies, a magnificent, kind, adoring, youthful Christian brimming with life, went to be with the Lord the previous evening.
