Schottenheimer was moved to a hospice care office in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Jan. 30, per ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
The Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, local was an AFL and NFL linebacker for the Buffalo Bills and Boston Patriots from 1965 to 1970 preceding later filling in as lead trainer of the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Football Team and San Diego Chargers.
Schottenheimer is most popular for his 21 seasons as a NFL lead trainer. He posted an amazing 200-126-1 customary season record during that time and drove his group to the end of the season games on 13 events.
