Mark Hazuda Obituary – Cause of death!

Mark Hazuda Obituary: Extremely Reverend Protopresbyter Ronald A. Hazuda, age 81, Fell Asleep In The Lord on Friday, May 5, 2017. Brought into the world July 18, 1935 in Coaldale, Pa. he was a child of the late George, Sr. also, Bertha (Medinci) Hazuda.

He moved on from Nesquehoning High School and went to Penn State University and Christ the Savior Seminary in Johnstown, Pa. where he graduated with a Licentiate of Theology. He later moved on from Gannon University with his B.A. Degree.

Father Ronald was appointed into the Holy Priesthood on June 8, 1958. He served his first pastorate as overseer of SS. Peter and Paul Church in Newark, N.J. for a very long time. In 1959 he was alloted to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church where he filled in as minister for more than 52 years until his retirement in 2011. Upon retirement, he was named Pastor Emeritus of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. He simultaneously filled in as minister of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Corry, Pa. for a very long time.

He served the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese as financial officer and consistory board part for more than 34 years and for a very long time was the overseer of the diocesan benefits reserve. Under his course, St. Nicholas Church went through many structure ventures including development of another parsonage, remodel of the Church inside and the erection of another Iconostas. Additionally during his residency three children of the area entered the Holy Priesthood.
