Liam Reilly Death: Bagatelle frontman Liam Reilly has passed on matured 65. Mr Reilly, who was from Dundalk, Co Louth composed the band’s most popular tune Summer in Dublin, which was delivered in 1980. He likewise spoke to Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1990, completing second with his melody Somewhere in Europe.

“With tragic hearts, the group of Liam Reilly, performer, lyricist and frontman of Bagatelle, wish to affirm that he died abruptly yet calmly at his home on January first,” they said.
“We realize that his numerous companions and endless fans far and wide will partake in our distress as we grieve his misfortune, however commend the exceptional ability of the man whose melodies implied such a huge amount to so many.
“We ask that you regard the family’s security at this troublesome time.”
