Liam Reilly Death: Bagatelle frontman Liam Reilly has passed on matured 65. Mr Reilly, who was from Dundalk, Co Louth composed the band’s most popular tune Summer in Dublin, which was delivered in 1980. He likewise spoke to Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1990, completing second with his melody Somewhere in Europe.

“With tragic hearts, the group of Liam Reilly, performer, lyricist and frontman of Bagatelle, wish to affirm that he died abruptly yet calmly at his home on January first,” they said.

“We ask that you regard the family’s security at this troublesome time.”
