Katherine creag obituary: Katherine Creag, a journalist for New York’s WNBC and recognizable presence on the station’s morning news program Today in New York, kicked the bucket suddenly the previous evening. She was 47. Her demise was reported today by WNBC. A reason had not been resolved, with WNBC noticing that Creag had not been sick and was functioning as of late as Wednesday morning.

“For a very long time Kat was one of our foundations, continually willing to help in any circumstance, regardless of whether it was an associate out of luck or a move that should have been covered,” WNBC’s VP of information, Amy Morris, said in an email to the staff. “She was insightful, interesting and persistent. What’s more, even on the hardest days she was a brilliant light, fast with a thoughtful word and a grin,”

Brought into the world in Manila, Creag joined WNBC in 2011 following five years at Fox. A 1996 alumni of New York University, Creag won or partook in winning different Emmys, AP and Murrow grants throughout a profession that likewise took her to Dallas, Charlotte and Syracuse.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted his sympathies today, expressing, “Katherine Creag was committed to interfacing with New Yorkers and sharing their accounts. She turned out resolutely for our city.”
