Jason Aguilar Obituary – Eastern Illinois Athletics declared the passing of Olympic-style events competitor Jason Aguilar on Saturday in Charleston.

“We are amazingly disheartened by the information on Jason’s passing. Our considerations and petitions go out to his family during this enthusiastic time,” said EIU Athletic Director Tom Michael. “Right now we are doing all that we can to help our understudy competitors and mentors as they work through this misfortune of managing the deficiency of one of their own.”

Aguilar, a Wheeling local, was a sophomore bookkeeping major in his second year in the EIU track group. He spent significant time in obstacles and runs.

“Words can’t communicate the despair our group is feeling subsequent to learning of the death of Jason Aguilar. Jason was a piece of our EIU Track Family and we are disheartened by his passing at such a youthful age,” said EIU Director of Track and Field Keith Roberts. “Our musings and supplications are with the people who adored him truly, including the individuals from our Panther family.”
