Ford Ray Obituary: Mr. Henry “Passage” Ray, 94, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Hugh Chatham Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Beam was conceived November 1, 1925 in Wilkes County to Rev. James Blain and Lou Ella Garris Ray. He resigned from Chatham Manufacturing as an IBM Clerk in the Weave Room following 47 years of administration. Mr. Beam was an energetic angler and tracker.

Notwithstanding his folks, Mr. Beam was gone before in death by his caring spouse, Nellie Wiles Ray; siblings, John, Samuel, Parks, and Garvey Ray; sisters, Marion Swaim, Esther Church and Hazel Cleary; and a stage child, Wayne Wiles. He is made due by kids, Karen (Dan) Pardue, Ronnie (Kathy) Ray, Steve (Ailene) Ray; step girl in-law, Judy Wiles; grandkids, Angela (Noah) Adams, Kristie (Chris) Shugart, Michelle Woods, Missy Underwood, Mandy (Rob) Maddry, and Michael Wiles; extraordinary grandkids, Matthew and Trevor Woods, Brady Shugart, Blain Adams, Zachary and Joshua Underwood, Maggie (Daniel) Lamm, Sarah Maddry, and Daniel and Dustin Maddry; incredible extraordinary grandson, Blake Lamm; sister, Betty Church; and numerous nieces, nephews, and companions.
