Dorothy Moxley Obituary – Dorothy Gwenneth Moxley, 92, our spicy, cherishing mother, died at Backus Hospital on August 29, 2018, after a short disease. Dorothy leaves behind her little girl Lee (Cornell McNair) of Griswold, child Ian of Preston, grandkids, Katherine (Chris Patnaude) and Harrison (Kristy Miller), incredible grandson James, and various nieces and nephews. Dorothy was brought into the world in Kingston, Ontario, Canada to Harry and Gladys (Hunter) Wright. Dorothy was predeceased by her significant other Don and her siblings, Harold and Ken.

A brilliant understudy, Dorothy went to Kingston Collegiate Vocational Institute. While still in school, Dorothy was approached to work at the Royal Bank of Canada and worked there becoming Head Teller. She passed on to fill in as an accountant at L.J. Gem, and afterward as a head accountant at an individual budget organization.

Around 1951, Dot joined the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Reserve where she learned semaphore and Morse code.

Wear and Dot was hitched in 1954 at Cooke’s United Church in Kingston. In the wake of the wedding, the couple resided in Hartford, CT where Dot worked at American Electric Supply as a clerk.

Spot and Don later moved to Noank, CT, and raised their family there. The spot was a functioning individual from Noank Baptist Church and was in the Noank Women’s Bowling League. Most summers would observe the family setting up camp in New York or Canada and one important summer setting up camp the nation over and into Canada. In 1975 the family moved to Preston, CT. Spot delighted in taking an interest in large numbers of the Preston City Congregational Church exercises and was the financier of the Deacon’s Fund for quite a long time. Spot cherished really focusing on her grandkids after school and showing them how to play poker.
