Byron Berline Obituary: The proprietor of Guthrie’s Double Stop Fiddle Shop, Byron Berline has kicked the bucket at 77 years old. Sources said he passed on this end of the week.

The death of Berline was likewise spread the word about in a few online media posts. The International Bluegrass Music Association in a Facebook said;

We are profoundly disheartened to know about the death of the extraordinary fiddler Byron Berline.

Conceived July 6, 1944, in Caldwell, Kansas, Mr. Berline rose to noticeable quality in the last part of the 1960s recording with a wide scope of specialists including The Dillards, The Flying Burrito Brothers, and The Rolling Stones. He was an individual from Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys in 1967, sufficiently long to co-put down and account “Dash for unheard of wealth”, which has become a country standard. He was an organizer/individual from a few groups all through his vocation including the Country Gazette, California (IBMA Instrumental Group of the Year 1992-94), and the Byron Berline Band.

Who Is Byron Berline?

Mr. Berline was the 3x boss at the National Oldtime Fiddlers’ Contest and Festival in Weiser, Idaho, and was accepted into The National Fiddler Hall of Fame in 2013. He began playing the fiddle at age five and immediately fostered his ability. In 1965 he recorded the collection Pickin’ and Fiddlin’ with the Dillards. That year he met Bill Monroe at the Newport Folk Festival and was extended to an employment opportunity with Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys, yet he turned it down to complete his schooling.
