Buster Welch Obituary – Gregory Lance Welch Sr., 51, of Millsap, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, in a Fort Worth medical clinic. Greg was conceived on September 26, 1952, in Midland, Texas. He was brought on a farm up in Roscoe, Texas, and moved on from Roscoe High School in 1971. He went to Western Texas Junior College in Snyder, Texas, and was an individual from the Rodeo Team.

Greg’s long-lasting affection was preparing and showing cutting ponies. He won the National Horse Cutting Futurity in 1991 and the N.C.H.A. Big showdown title in 1982. He filled in as N.C.H.A. president in 2002-2003. He was an individual from the N.C.H.A. Riders Hall of Fame and the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame.

Greg was a much-cherished ally of youthful cutters and was continually searching for a kid to grasp. Greg was a brilliant dad and his two biggest loves of all were his kids, Lance of Austin and Whitney, who went before him in death in 1998.

Survivors incorporate child, Lance Welch; mother, Ginger Welch; father and stepmother, Buster and Sheila Welch; sibling and sister-in-law, Ken and Dixie Welch; sisters, Ruth Ann Siebers, Georgia Welch; stepbrother and spouse, Dolan and Becky Morris; stepsister and husband, Nina and David Findley; and various nieces and nephews.
