Fallen cop recognized as family man and committed official with ‘staggering funny bone’

The 12-year veteran of the neighborhood power is being recollected by his friends and family as a committed family man and enthusiastic cop with “an extraordinary funny bone.”

“He was the most youthful. We generally used to wrestle and one day he grew up greater than us all and none of us played with him after that,” his senior sibling, Jason Harnett, said on the telephone from Ontario. “A great deal of us battled to realize what to do throughout everyday life. He knew from an exceptionally youthful age that is the thing that he needed to be. He needed to get into policing so awful.”

He said his more youthful sibling did all that he could to make as he would prefer to policing, incorporating chipping in with Crime Stoppers and making associations in close by police divisions. It was what driven him to fill in as a military cop for 2½ prior to joining the power in Calgary in 2008.
