Alex Kogut Obituary: Alexandra Gerace Kogut, 18, of New Hartford, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 29, 2012. She was conceived January 19, 1994, in New Hartford, little girl of Mark and Becky Gerace Kogut. Alex was a 2012 alumni of New Hartford High School.

Alex was a varsity swimmer, chief of the swimming club, a lifeguard, instructed at Learn to Swim in New Hartford, and was a companion to all in the network. She was likewise the beneficiary of the Citizenship Award, which exemplified her unselfishness, initiative, and eagerness to consistently help other people, with no thought process other than mindful.

Her inheritance to us is one of benevolence and tenderness. Alex was seeking after her advanced education and was amped up for her future. Alex could do anything she set her focus on – she appreciated swimming, snowboarding, water skiing, sailing and ice skating. She likewise delighted in investing energy with her family at Big Moose Lake, alongside her canines, Sophia and DD Boy.

Alex is made due by her folks, Mark and Becky Kogut, and her caring sister, Sydney Kogut, of New Hartford; her grandparents, Frank and Marion Gerace and John and Barbara Kogut; and incredible grandma, “Phil” Sciortino. She is prized by her aunties and uncles, Victor Gerace, Anthony Sandouk, Lisa Sandouk-Romanelli and Don Romanelli, Felicia and Ken Lagasse, Jean Trippe, Lou and Patsy (expired) Sandouk, Kelly Kogut and C.J. Weinschreider, Amy Kogut Klempay and Tom Klempay,

Christopher and Shahiba Kogut, and cousins, Andrew and Emily Weinschreider, Oscar and Charles Klempay, Rayka and Calvin Kogut, Sarah and Grace Romanelli, Owen Lagasse, Marco and Francesca Gerace, and many adoring more distant family individuals. The memorial service will be on Thursday at 12 early afternoon at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be commended.
