Aaron Osthoff Obituary – A 47-year-old Dubuque man persuasively entered a Potosi lady’s home and shot her before lethally shooting himself last Friday morning, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said Monday. The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. Friday at a home in the 100 square of North Main Street. The sheriff’s office said the 37-year-elderly person was at home when Aaron Osthoff entered forcibly, inciting the lady to call 911.

Representatives reacted to the space after a dispatcher heard contending on the line. As they got to the space, they heard a shot followed by a shout and another gunfire.

Osthoff shot the lady in the neck and head region prior to shooting himself, the sheriff’s office said. He kicked the bucket at the scene, while the lady is in stable condition. The sheriff’s office recently said people on call took the lady to Grant Regional Hospital; she was later carried to UW Hospital in Madison.

The man and lady knew one another, yet the sheriff’s office said it is as yet attempting to get familiar with the degree of their relationship.
