In the first half of 2026, GAC’s overseas wholesale and end-user retail volumes doubled year-on-year. Total exports reached 121,483 units, nearly matching the full-year export volume of last year, with a significant 132% year-on-year increase, marking a major milestone.
Across major regions, GAC maintained solid momentum. In the Americas, Mexico posted outstanding results, with AION ES and AION UT entering the top ten in BEV sales rankings. In Bolivia, GAC remained the top-selling Chinese passenger vehicle brand. Brazil, Colombia and other markets also recorded steady growth. In the Asia-Pacific, GAC ranked No.1 in Hong Kong’s private EV market in April after the subsidy phase-out, with cumulative market share exceeding 11% from January to May. In Singapore, GAC ranked second among pure EV brands in April. In addition, GAC continued to lead the electric taxi segment in Thailand.
In Europe, GAC advanced its strategic expansion as the AION UT began production in Austria, made its European debut in Milan, and entered the UK and Spanish markets. In the Middle East and Africa, EMZOOM ranked first in Lebanon’s B-segment SUV market, and the broader Middle East region delivered substantial sales growth.
Quality and value also drew global recognition. In Kuwait, GAC won two No.1 titles among Chinese automakers for overall vehicle quality and residual value, while in Thailand, it led all Chinese brands in three-year residual value. The AION UT sustained its momentum, ranking No.1 among pure electric hatchbacks in Hong Kong, Colombia, Uruguay, and Singapore, with over 600 pre-orders in Australia. The AION V also reached new overseas sales highs and won “No.1 Elite Electric SUV” in Hong Kong.
Building on this global momentum, GAC continued to deepen localized development in Central Asia and the broader CIS region. In Kazakhstan, the GS8, EMZOOM and GS4 MAX address family travel, daily commuting and multi-scenario mobility needs. In Azerbaijan, the S7 offers an intelligent and comfortable mobility option. In Uzbekistan, the AION i60 and S7 further enrich GAC’s new energy and intelligent SUV lineup, strengthening its response to local users’ diversified mobility needs.
