Tom Kane Death: Thomas Reif Kane, an educator emeritus of applied mechanics and mechanical designing at Stanford University, was a pioneer in the field of rocket elements, biomechanics and current computational elements. Kind, courageous and carefully curious, he was an adored educator and held visiting researcher positions far and wide. Kane kicked the bucket at Stanford on Feb. 16 at 94 years old.

“Educator Kane needed to comprehend his general surroundings as best as possible,” said Paul Mitiguy, an assistant teacher of mechanical designing at Stanford and Kane’s previous PhD understudy. “It was so entrancing to watch him and work with him.
