Vernita Bender Obituary: Civil Court Judge Vernita Bender kicked the bucket out of the blue around 6 p.m. Monday, as per Valdosta city pioneers. City Councilman Eric Howard with District Four worked close by Bender. He reveals to WCTV their group got an email Monday early daytime saying Bender’s better half of 14 years, Tonero Bender, discovered her “inert with a feeble heartbeat”. A subsequent email followed, declaring she was breathing all alone once more, he said. At that point, Howard says a third email came through, advising them she kicked the bucket. Drinking spree was 49 years of age.

“Judge Bender was unassuming. She was somebody who tuned in. She gave it a second thought. She was a genuine local official in each part of the word,” Howard said. “How about we simply take this opportunity to be thoughtful to each other. Be insightful in our words. In a public statement from Valdosta authorities, City Manager Mark Barber sent his sympathies to the family:

“Judge Bender gives up a tradition of remarkable administration, public assistance, and recollections that we will consistently treasure. She was a companion and tutor for City representatives, just as numerous Valdosta occupants. Judge Bender had a gigantic heart for the network’s youngsters and was consistently a positive model in both her expert and individual life. Judge Bender adored her locale and that was reflected in her work. Civic chairman Scott James Matheson added:

“We are disheartened to learn of the passing of Judge Vernita Bender. For the benefit of the City of Valdosta, City Councilmembers, and the inhabitants of Valdosta, I need to stretch out compassion and supplications to Judge Bender’s family. The Valdosta people group was lucky to have Judge Bender. She thought profoundly about our locale and strived to improve it every day. We will genuinely miss Judge Bender and all that she brought to our court. Her model was sympathy and compassion.”

Drinking spree was brought up in Moultrie. She took the seat of Valdosta’s Municipal Court over 10 years back.

Prior to that, she filled in as a legal representative, legitimate guidance to a lodging authority, specialist of the Valdosta Municipal Court and aide lead prosecutor. She even had her own law practice preceding her arrangement in August 2006.

The City’s delivery says the Judicial Council of Georgia included her as one of the state’s most persuasive Black appointed authorities in 2016.
