Rick Hoyt Obituary: Boston Marathon symbol Dick Hoyt kicked the bucket Wednesday morning at age 80, as per his child, Russ Hoyt. He passed calmly in his rest because of cardiovascular breakdown, his child said.

Dick Hoyt and his child, Rick, became Boston Marathon legends after their first spat 1980, during which the father pushed Rick in a custom dashing seat, as per the Boston Athletic Association.

The two finished an aggregate of 32 Boston Marathons together, remembering a last completion for 2014, the affiliation added.
