Drew smith obituary: Drew V. Smith, Jr., 68, of Decatur, died calmly, encompassed by his family on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home in Decatur.

Drew was conceived December 10, 1952 in Peru, IN to Drew and Dorothy (Pope) Smith, Sr. He wedded Charlene Flowers on May 17, 1975 at Hope Lutheran Church in Hartford, MI. He functioned as an overseer for Decatur Public Schools for a very long time preceding retirement. Drew was a caring spouse, father and granddad. He worked at the home improvement shop after retirement, a couple of times each week, for something to do. In his extra time, he enjoyed assembling riddles and working out in his carport. He adored being with his family.

Drew will be remembered fondly by his better half of 45 years, Charlene Smith; his girls, Tonya (Raymond) Garcia, Mandy (Steve) Smead, and Shannon (Gary) Weishaupt; his grandkids, Kayla Smith, Kody Garcia, and Heath Hendershot; and his kin, Kenneth (Martha) Smith, Glen (Brenda) Smith, Betty Arnold, Dorothy Smith, Drewetta (Mark) Flowers, Grady (Marylou) Smith, Jim Rodgers, Mark Smith, and Stella (Bob) Coulson.
