Wilma Hochstetler Obituary – Cause of death!

Wilma Hochstetler Obituary: Wilma Irene Hochstetler, age 92, of Nappanee, passed on at midnight, Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Goshen Health Hospital. She was conceived December 23, 1923, in Marshall County, to Andrew and Katie (Yoder) Slabaugh. Wilma was a homemaker and had worked at Evangel Press, Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen, and GCI Inc. in Nappanee. She wedded Jesse E. Hochstetler on May 30, 1943 in Marshall County.

He went before her in death on December 25, 2015. She and Jesse have been individuals from the Brethren in Christ Church in Nappanee since 1948. Enduring Wilma are kids Paul (Randy Colburn) Hochstetler of South Bend, Esther Burdette of Charleston, SC, Lamar (LeAnn) Hochstetler of Nappanee, Wayne (Marilyn) Hochstetler of Fort Collins, CO, Shirley (James) Cox of Rosman, NC, and Darrel (Diane) Hochstetler of Syracuse; 13 grandkids; 11 extraordinary grandkids; 2 incredible extraordinary grandkids; and sister Inez Helmuth of Goshen. Wilma was gone before in death by her child, Devon Hochstetler, a grandson, kin Lydia Ann Miller, Katie Walters, Edna Mast-Yoder, Mary Stutzman, Fannie Slabaugh, Cora Martin, and Delbert and Elmer Slabaugh.

Loved ones may approach Friday, October 28, 2016, from 4-8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour before the 10 a.m. burial service administrations at The Brethren in Christ Church on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Fire up. Jeff Williams will direct. Entombment will follow at Union Center East Cemetery. Dedication commitments might be given to the Galilean Children’s Home (712 S. Fork Church Rd., Liberty, KY, 42539) or Navajo BIC Mission, (240 Highway 57, Bloomfield, NM, 87413).
