Peter Starkie Death – Obituary – Cause of death!

Peter Starkie Death: Dwindle Starkie, the first guitarist for Skyhooks has kicked the bucket at age 72. An announcement at the Skyhooks Facebook page peruses, “It’s with the misery that we need to post that one of the first Skyhooks-Peter Starkie has died (age 72). A heartbreaking mishap on Sunday prompted his demise. Our contemplations and sympathies go out to Bob and family during this pitiful time.”Starkie’s sibling Bob, who supplanted him in the band, wrote in a different post on Facebook that his sibling

“deplorably kicked the bucket in one of those inept stepping stool mishaps”.

Dwindle Starkie left the band before its shocking initial two collections surprised the Australian music industry.

“Extremely miserable to convey the news that my sibling Peter has sadly kicked the bucket in one of those moronic stepping stool mishaps. Diminish George Starkie was conceived in Sydney in 1948, he was just 72 when he took the jump and had a lot of life in front of him.

“We consumed a fine family time on earth together up until our mid-twenties. We lived in a wide range of areas growing up and shared numerous developmental encounters. My first recollections of Peter was the point at which we were living on the Woomera Rocket run in 1955. Our dad was in the Airforce and his activity took us such a large number of various areas. After Woomera it was Melbourne. Then Canberra in 1959. At that point London from 1961 to 1963. At that point back to Melbourne where after going to Glen Waverly High and afterwards Melbourne High diminish completed a Science qualification at Melbourne University (alongside Red Symons)

“Living in England was a distinct advantage for Peter. They were energizing occasions with the development of the Beatles and Rolling Stones. Peter began guitar exercises and when we got back to Melbourne He was on the ball. At Glen Waverley, he snared with the skilled Dave Flett and began a band. “The Kingbees”. Not long after they met a gifted artist from Altona, Joe Camilleri which gathered together a staggering line-up. Subside was all the while completing school and beginning Uni. That mix with Joe and Dave proceeded to become ‘Lip Arthur and The Double Decker Bros.’ It was during this timeframe Peter was instrumental in me beginning to play the guitar when he got me one for Christmas one year. (simply because he was unable to stand me playing the drums).

“When Greg Macainsh was detailing his thought for Skyhooks, It was Dave Flett who suggested Peter as a guitarist. So alongside Peter Inglis, Steve Hill, Freddie Strauks and Greg

“Accordingly was brought into the world The Skyhooks first line-up. Diminish has kept up his adoration for guitar. He has played semi routinely with Paul Madigan ( for which he ought to have gotten an award) and has kept up a consistent playing relationship with Peter Inglis shuffling the Sydney Melbourne oppression of separation.

“Aside from being an awesome guitarist, he was a sibling who I turned upward to. He proceeded to father three magnificent girls. A stage girl Alice and Ruby and Stella to Mother Carmel. Cousins to my girls Indiana and Arabella. For the last twenty odd years, he has lived cheerfully indistinguishable with accomplice Dianna. (Most likely because she was the one in particular who might giggle madly at his fairly dry jokes.)
